458 parents and carers received direct support.

Our work with families, parents and carers has continued to develop over the past year. More detail can be found on individual links :

Intense Family Support
- Offers 1:1 support to families in crisis with complex needs
- funded by Birmingham Childrens Fund


CAMHs Family Support
- offers both 1:1 and group support for parents/carers of children and young people already receiving a specialist CAMHS service
- funded by Heart of Birmingham, North and East Primary Care Trusts

Parent Support Services
- offers parenting support for parents / carers/ grandparents of children aged 5 - 16 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- funded by Parenting Fund

General Family Support
- offers support to families who do not meet other criteria above
- funded through occasional grants and fundraising

Parenting Courses
- courses run periodically for parents of children 0 - 11 years
- funded when funding identified

Women’s Group - offers a chance to meet, chat and sometimes learn from other moms
- meets every two weeks in Small Heath, Birmingham

The Sheldon Project - working with children and young people aged 5-12 who have emotional and behavioural needs
- working with parents/carers who require parenting support.
- Funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund

Sheldon Extended Schools Provision - Offering 1:1 and group work for Parents / Carers
- Funded through Sheldon Extended School Cluster
