Parent support services

Our project's aim is to provide emotional well-being in parents and carers, and children and young people, and prevent family breakdown and social exclusion.

Who do we work with …..
We support parents and carers, including the 'hidden' carers eg grandparents, of children and young people who have emerging and diagnosed emotional and behavioural difficulties, conditions and disabilities , including Autism, other ASD's, ADHD etc

How do we work …..

We offer practical help, education around parenting, information around emotional and behavioural difficulties and conditions, and provide emotional support to parents and carers to help them come to terms with the condition or disability, and to understand their child/young person's diagnosis.
We provide support by assisting parents and carers to develop their own skills and abilities, building on their confidence and self-esteem. This is done through 1:1 visits, either at home, or other suitable locations.

Referrals …

We offer support to families with children/young people between the ages of 5 - 16.
We operate from the inner-city, out across the north and east of Birmingham.
Referrals are accepted from professionals, and the parents /carers themselves.
